A person's honest and public introspection:
"So fuckin dumb. Im so judgemental and im a piece of shit myself"
Shared on Facebook, was responded to with:
"Love yourself the way GOD does. He doesn't create peices of shit..He does create dumb people unfortunately"
and
"Try to love yourself dont be so hard on yourself. You are very talented and creative."
Nice words, but hardly my response.
I respected his honesty and self introspection.
I thought it deserved an honest introspective answer.
At the risk of being an overly aggressive asshole, as it has recently been noted that I am, always, here's my response.
------
God creates pieces of shit.
I mean who was it that hardened Pharaoh's heart?
It was God.
We are no better than they.
The difference is in the knowing.
All...ALL have sinned and fallen short.
We're no better or worse than the another, some of us simply understand and dole out grace more deeply and freely as we begin to see the great measure of it poured out on us.
We can never fully understand the level of grace we are afforded because we can never understand the level of offense we have caused.
Jesus replied, why do you call me good? No man is good.
Honestly recognizing and reconciling who you may be to change is difficult, perhaps even the most difficult thing we may ever do.
However those who fail to embrace the process are the ones that don't love themselves, not the other way around.
God gives us more than we can handle too. If he didn't, I sincerely doubt any of us would recognize the need for him at all.
Thus we would be hopeless, which is the worst thing we could possibly be.
I encourage you sir, embrace your failures as steps to growth.
After all, God told Moses at the outset that he would fail multiple times, and...
I doubt anyone looking at Christ on the cross would have said,"Congratulations on your successful ministry!"
Guess what?
We had a brief PM convo.
He got it and appreciated it.
I'm glad.
