For $3 and some change at the Desert Samaritan cafeteria you can have your hand held daily!

Now when people ask where my hope is found, I can now say I found my hope in the interfaith chapel, in a cabinet...in a can.

If you open this cabinet, there's no barricade between the two sides. Seems like a lot of potential for trouble right here.

This is the standard dry erase board you find in all hospital rooms. I guess what really concerns me is that diet had to be written in and pain is a permanent part of the plan.

If we can describe something you need to use twice a day as having 24 hour protection, where do we draw the line? 30 day protection, use 60 times month.

Uh oh...someone looks like someone lost their lunch on the elevator.

Throw me a frikin' Bone Man

If the people in charge of such things were forced to adhere to the same standards they subject others to, I would have to guess that none of us then would have to suffer the injustice of single ply toilet paper.

The Lord's Chips

PBA336

Well we've been here since Wednesday morning.

It's not right, and it's certainly not easy, but over the years I have found that if you will not fight to take what is yours, you can rest assured that someone else gladly will.

For almost every cruelty, injustice and civil violation inflicted, by man upon man, you don't usually have to look to hard to see that ultimately, greed is the driving force of the puppet masters.

Let's face it, across every culture and every generation, the exploitation of those persons that can least afford to resist it, has historically been shown to be the single most effective means by which the greatest percentage of the resources are secured by the smallest percentage of the people.

The Rebirth-day Party

After reading this a friend of mine, much wiser and more politically involved wrote this to me:

E416

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:1-6 (ESV)

That's it.
That's the whole post.

Looking for a hand out?

Blessed are the piece makers

I'd love to hear a good sermon about God's view on sexual relations

Internet Killed the Radio Star

Internet radio.
It isn't really radio.

Is it getting colder in here?

Some global warming might not be a bad thing given the current climate...and I'm not talking about the weather.

As you have done unto the least of these...

Our words mean something no matter how cleverly or eloquently we try to use them.

List 1

1) There's always a perfectly logical reason not to do the right thing.

2) All blame can be shifted.
If it can't be proven, accept no blame.
If it can't be proven, accept all credit.

3) You can't argue, for or with, any kind of crazy you don't comprehend on some level.

4) Everybody, believes (or would like to) that they are right. Period.
Even if that certainty only comes from a feeling that they cannot explain logically, certainty equates to validity.

5) Rational thinking is optional, and should only be exercised as far as it further one's own views.

This short list inspired by, a history of, and some recent psychopathic conversations.

In the words of James Brown

Today, I am thankful for the sound of children laughing in their sleep, the smell of coffee in the morning, and indoor plumbing.

Why I don't attend parties...

(Upon being called a liberal Christian...)
Please allow me to say here,  that my objective is not, nor has it ever been political as the term that some have used in calling me "liberal" might imply in our current culture.

Of Carpenters and Firestarters

A very heartfelt thanks to Jed, who gave this much more clarity and made it much more concise than my typical posts. You'll know what I mean when you read it.

It's long, to be sure but hang in there, I believe it's very much worth seeing through.
