The Ostrich

ORIGINAL POST:
This is what the Lord says:
“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,”
declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 9:23-24

SOME DUDE'S REPLY:
That's actually what some guy said that the "LORD" said. God, famously has never said anything, ever. If he did it would put to rest all the controversy. Until he (or she, or it) does actually offer one, single, solitary iota of evidence for it's existence, such as speaking audibly to everyone on earth, its only reasonable to assume he/she/it doesn't exist. That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

AND MY REPLY TO THAT:
"A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell." That's actually what some guy said that CS Lewis said, although I never actually heard it. Some guy recording is how I know about a world much larger and older than my own.

Science observes creation.

It doesn't feed people.
It doesn't forgive people.
It certainly does not make us better people,

Although science may help in providing a catalyst for these things and more, it does not explain our conviction for these things to happen or our motive for making them happen.

However, science is limited by God, not the other way around.

Science observes.
God creates.

Evidence?
You see what you wish to see, no more, and even the progress of science is reliant on faith.

SEEK and you shall find.
ASK and you shall receive.
KNOCK and the door will be opened.

God, did say that...even if you didn't hear it.
