With suppressed remorse and undue gratitude, we do unspeakable things to each other unquestioningly. Settling for survival in service of those who would take everything from us for their vast long term gain without any remorse for lack of consequence.
If the expression that one generation plants the trees and the next enjoys the shade then I have to ask,"Are we the generation that is selling our trees simply to rent their shade? Harvesting everything, planting nothing?"
