Frogger

2000 years ago, for the mere price of 30 pieces of silver, Judas betrayed an innocent life.

Shortly thereafter he used that money to buy the land on which he killed himself because he could not burden the weight of the guilt, upon realizing just what he had done.
For that history has shamed him, even to this day & I have yet to meet anyone named Judas.

For 75 million dollars Mitt Romney, without apology, has profited from the taking of countless innocent lives, (a procedure covered under "his" health plan).
When asked he lied about it.

Now Americans, Christian Americans, somehow want to name him pro life, and push for his presidency...

Clearly my understanding of the term Pro Life is askew.

For that history should shame us...
God forgive America.

I would not suggest that ones future is necessarily bound by their past.
Were that the case, we should be in deep despair from the hopelessness of our existence.

One certainly can change their ways or their views over time, and on occassion they do.

That said however, in assessing another person's character and make up, one is certainly wise to examine and consider the past actions of the other, in helping to determine the possibile course of future actions, especially when those past actions contain repeated patterns of questionable behavior.

A lesson will be forthcoming in either course of consideration (or not).
How then the lesson is, and how it will be learned becomes the bigger issue.

All the more so when that person is to be put in a position of authority to make decisions on the behalf of another...many others.

The lesson is shown quite simply in a little story called,"The Scorpion and the Frog".
